I designed a new t-shirt featuring a collage of a bunch of stuff I’m into. Check it out:

Check out this electronic version of “Open Mic” in Chicago that I’m putting together:

Sort of like its analog cousin, Open Channel is an non-curated musician’s showcase in a supportive, relaxed environment, except it showcases electronic music, either through DJing or Live PAs. You will get 20 minutes to show off what you do musically, and then listen to other people doing the same thing.

There are 12 slots open. The first 12 people who RSVP and pay will be guaranteed a slot. Playing order will be determined on the date of the performance.

You are also absolutely welcome to bring friends, or just come as a spectator! There is a suggested donation of $5.

I have been a fan of Improv Everywhere for a minute, especially a musical number in a train stationand the (faked) No Underwear Subway Ride. “Where’s Rob” is definitely my favorite so far, where an “agent” pretends to have lost his seat at a Nicks game. As his friends try to flag him down, the entire section tries to help out.

Want a Rob! T-shirt? Neighborhoodies has them. Want.

Check out these Microcontroller Earrings at Fractalspin, small ICs that you can wear on your ears.

Here’s the black cord version of the Floppy Disk Necklace. It has a cool clasp made from a flange terminal.

Fill out a short survey for Fractaspin and you can have a chance to win your choice of either a Black Capacitor Necklace (above) or a Timer IC Tie Clip (below). Plus, you’ll also get a $10 coupon. Take the survey!
