SHORT BIO: Entrepreneur-musician-artist Liz McLean Knight kept busy in her hometown of Chicago, hosting club nights and showcasing musicians and DJs from her label, subVariant. Now based in San Francisco, she continues to craft her signature blend of melodic IDM As Quantazelle and as Liz Revision her DJ sets feature dancefloor-friendly tracks with experimental sound design.
MEDIUM BIO: Liz Revision is the DJ incarnation of San Francisco-based Liz McLean Knight. Already well established as a live performer, under the name Quantazelle, and running the label subVariant, McLean-Knight had naturally expanded her resume, taking on the role of DJ and continuing her passion as a promoter and advocate of forward-thinking electronic music.
With multiple Chicago-based local residencies and a slew of one off gigs throughout the years, Ms. Revision has made her impact felt on the local dance music scene, with her unique blend of minimal, tech-house, glitch, ambient and melodic IDM, Her genuinely passionate demeanor regarding the tracks she selects and the artists she promotes and supports have earned her opening slots for acts as Lee Curtiss, Noah Pred, Tycho, Andy Vaz, Oliver Hacke, Richard Devine, Kero, and Apparat.
Despite her many identities and hectic schedule there’s no doubt you will soon find her in a DJ booth near you or vehemently supporting artists she thoroughly believes in.
